Great quote

A friend of mine shared this great quote with me that was on the back of her ward Bulletin. and I just wanted to share it.

In your worst distress and deepest sorrow the Spirit is there to sweetly remind you of a time before your birth. When your father held you gently, his arms around you in a firm embrace, whispering loving words of assurance, "I will not forget thee, nor forsake thee. I will not fail thee..." Just as the lone flame will pierce the darkness so will these words of pure devotion and love shatter the grip of our most despairing misery. We are never forgotten and most certainly never alone.

We finally have a name!!!!!!

Dale and I finally decided on a name for our final Baby Boy. his name will be Connor Perry Clay, for those of you who do not know Perry is my Mothers Maiden name.

I have to admit this pregnancy has been a very tough one, and I am really looking forward to holding Connor in my arms, to count all of his fingers and toes. and to have him hold my fingers in his hand and look into his eyes. Babies are such miracles and Blessings. lots of prayers said for a safe and healthy journey for Connore to enter into this crazy world and our crazy loving family. only a few more weeks left to go.

Trip to Labor and Delivery

We did not make it to church Yesterday, instead I took a trip to Labor and Delivery and my precious friend Stephanie came over and watched my kids, she is the Primary Presidency so that meant that our 2 other Wonderful friends Amy and Heidi ended up handling Primary on their own Yesterday.

Anyways, I went to Labor and Delivery because I had been having some pretty consistent contractions since Saturday, after being Monitored and checked for 5 hours, thankfully there was nothing going on, my Cervix is still closed, so they sent me home with the directions to become a couch potato, they also upped my dose of glyburide from 2.5 mg to 5mg because 2.5 was not bringing my sugars down. I am hoping that the 5mg will be succesful. it is a little frustrating when you are doing all that you are supposed to be doing eating wise, yet your body just does not want to cooperate at all. I have come to the conclusion that I am just not meant to have normal pregnancies. This adversity will only make me stronger and make me appreciate this precious little Baby even more, I cannot wait to hold him in my arms, he just needs to stay put for atleast 6 more weeks.

Thanks again Stephanie, Heidi and Amy I don't know what I would do if I did not have you guys as my friends.

Kids and the things they say

I was on the phone this Morning with my friend Stephanie, discussing Primary, Sarah came and asked me if she could play with her Playdough and here is how the rest of the Conversation went.

Sarah: Mom can I play with Playdough?

Me: no we have Church today so you need to take a Bath and get ready

Sarah: Can I take a Bath now?

Me: can you take a Bath after me?

Sarah: no you will get your freakin Butt Cold

I have no idea where she heard that but it was very funny, I did have to tell her that freakin is not a nice word to say.

Ramblings of a crazy Pregnant Lady

Yesterday was a tough day, I went to Target and Kmart to get some needed items for the kids, new shoes, a tie, tights, socks and a coat. well after walking around those 2 stores for a couple of hours by the time I got home I felt like I was going to have this Baby any minute, I had contiunuous contractions for several hours even while I was laying down trying to rest, once I went to bed and fell asleep they finally stopped and I was able to get some much needed rest(other than the contiuned bathroom breaks throughout the night). I forgot to bring my water with me , so I am thinking that I was probably a little bit dehydrated and I overdid it. Whatever it was it really scared me. this Baby needs to continue to incubate for several more weeks.

Ultrasound of the Baby

Yesterday I went in for a bio physical profile of the Baby, because I have Gestational Diabetes, and they did a 3-D ultrasound, which I was not expecting, and I honestly did not think I would want to have one, because you can see so many more details of the Baby and I really like to be surprised, anyways I honestly enjoyed seeing him so up close, the ultrasound tech took several pictures but he could never get him to move his hand from his one eye. I guess a Silver lining in having Gestational Diabetes is that I will probably get to see this little guy quite a bit over the next 8-10 weeks. according to the ultrasound he now weighs 4 lbs and he is measuring 31 weeks and 5 days instead of 29 weeks and 2 days. Daddy thinks that his nose is to big I think it is cute.
